HBI, which is the oldest and largest association of hotel brokers in the United States, is recommending its member brokers immediately place their hotel listings and broker home pages at one central Internet site (http://www.innvest.com). The site was opened for business on May 1, 1996

HBI first learned of Americas Hotel On-Line Superstore in January of this year at its annual meeting in Newport Beach, California, where it was unveiled by its site developers to the associations Board of Directors. Subsequent to a review and recommendation by HBIs Technology Committee, the associations Board has unanimously voted to encourage its 150 members to place their hotel property listings at this central cyberspace location.

"Being a hotel brokerage association, we recognize the importance of a first-class location. The Innvest site provides us with a visible interactive location where our potential customers can visit and view our listings," said HBI Executive Director Bob Kralicek.

"We are confident our broker members clients and customers will be well served by having their properties marketed online, world-wide, 24 hours a day," continued Kralicek. It is expected that more than 250 hotel businesses for sale will soon be available for national and international review by interested customers at Innvest.

"This will go far toward expanding the lodging property offering process and, possibly, change the very nature of how hotels are offered for sale," averred Innvest partner Jeff Wilder.

"Cyberspace offers a convenient and effective way to change the hotel real estate offering process from a fishing expedition toward a more coherent information sharing approach," said Innvest partner Deirdre Murphy, an award-winning hotel broker. The site is open to all lodging industry advertisers who wish to reach hotel entrepreneurs and executives with their products or services. A portion of "Innvests" profits will be donated to the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Motel Association.
